Expressing Body through Wall Painting

     Wall Painting

Based on our understanding of the Body we brainstormed and came up with various ideas. The idea was then sketched on a piece of paper and then scaled up to be painted on the wall. We used distemper, coloured stains and glue as materials to make this painting.
The jellyfishes represent a body that is unrestricted and free because they have no bones unlike the human body that is bound by so many restrictions including societal pressures. The framework of boxes represents structure and form that is the main components of a body.
We used a complimentary colour scheme because they draw the attention of the eye producing a heightened visual effect and put across the message strongly. Turquoise, pink and white also give a sense of warmth and happiness to its viewers.
